Delhi, the capital city of India has got the extreme climate of hot and cold. This beautiful city gets a new look during winter. Foggy, misty and chilled city becomes so romantic that people like to take a sun bath. All the parks of the city get crowded with people of every age. Every where there is a smell of roasting pea nuts and in every corner of the city a man is making omelets and boiled egg and delites enjoying them with a hot cup of tea. Every where there is a bonfire and people rubbing their hands in the orange flare, these are some obvious sight in Delhi in winter.
How does the city look
Either it is a foggy morning or sunny afternoon the whole Delhi looks very colourful during winter. Morning is very foggy and chilled in winter. It is really tough to come out of the quilt and set for the day. Students around the city in their full attire, rubbing their hands wait for school bus to arrive. And it seems that we are really doing injustice to them.
People with their colourful shawls, jackets and muffles come to the street and parks with samosas and pea nuts balancing in their hands. Places like India Gate, Palika Bazar central park, Nehru park, Millennium park, old fort are some of the winter hubs of Delhi. Shopping corners like Delhi Haat, Sarojini nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Cannaught Place Rajori Garden are well stocked with warm products and people make these place their favourite hang out.
Place like Purana Quilla is another crowded place during winter. It is the best time to enjoy boating there. The whole city looks very mystic and charming during November to February. During winter the city gets a new look as people start preparing for Chrismas and New Year. The slightly trimmed chrism as trees, lighted houses and streets gives an excitement unlike summer. It is the time when people from far away come home and it is a time to meet the loved ones.
As it is very difficult to explore the old city Delhi in Summer due to excessive hot so delites love to visit the monuments during winters only. And it is the ideal time for tourists to visit Delhi. As the city in winter gets its real spark.
