Manali


Incredible India! Really, in one part of India there is places like Jaisalmer, land of golden sand and on the contrary the other part has land of ice and pine that is Manali. Manali is an amazingly beautiful place in the state Himachal Pradesh. Snow caved mountain, lush green pine trees, flowing river Vayas, simple people of Manali never fails to enchants tourists. In fact it is one of the most sought after destinations in India among the hill station lovers. The exploration of the beauty of Himalaya can be started from Manali. It is on the foot hills of Himalaya. It has got some mesmerizing attractions, which the tourists like to visit again and again. These are

Hadimba temple – It is one of the prime attractions in Manali. The temple bears the testimony of the existence of the mythological character Hadimba (wife of Bhima in Mahabharata). This temple is situated amidst the picturesque landscape surrounded by thicky wooded forest. Tourists can also enjoy yak ride in this temple.

Manu Temple – It is in the old Manali, dedicated to Rishi Manu. The name of the town also comes after him. Other temples like Vashisht temple is also a promonent tourist spoty in Manali.

Tibetan Monasteries – There are 3 Tibetan Monasteries have been constructed in Manali which are widely visited by the tourists. Two of them are located in the centre of the town. These are excellent place for shopping of carpet and other Tibetan craft.

Rotang Pass- The main reason behind all the tourists visiting Manali is to visit Rotang Pass, an excellent snow covered place. From where you can enjoy the majestic Himalaya and the glaciers. The place is a totally snow covered land, famous for skiing and other snow games. The journey to Rotang Pass from Manali is exciting and heart throbbing through the narrow lanes of Himalaya.

Nagar- This famous castle is just 28 k.m. From Manali. The castle turned heritage hotel of Nagar is a favourite attraction of the tourist. One of the main attractions of Naggar is the Roerich Art Gallery. Nicholas Roerich was a Russian who was was a famous painter settled down in Himalaya.

Malana- A calm and quaint village across the river Parvati. The specialty of the village lies in its democratic assembly to take care of the village's administrative matter. It is said that the village have been inhabited by the descendants of the Greeks.

All the places of Himachal Pradesh are beautiful and green. Manali is also a captivating place in the Himachal Pradesh with abundance of scenic beauty, blooming orchids, wooded sloops, meandering river and chilling wind.
